Giacomo's Italian Market is located at 2109 New Garden Rd in the same shopping center as Lockwood Tavern. Giacomo’s is an Italian market that has freshly sliced meats, cheeses, homemade pasta, meatballs, sauces and more.

It was my first time there so I was really excited to see all of the imported items that I have never seen before! I came to get a sub but I could definitely see myself coming back for a few prepared meals as well as some of the imported marinara sauces and pasta.

After being mesmerized by the selection of these and other sundries, I decided to order a Meatball Parmesan sub, kettle sea salt chips and can of root beer (about $20 total).
Meatball Parmesan
The sub was tightly wrapped in foil and parchment to keep it warm. I opened it up in the car and ate half in the parking lot. The meatballs are made in house so they were fresh, perfectly seasoned and very big. The marinara sauce had a good tang to it and it was not sweet like how most of our marinara here in the United States. The provolone cheese was perfectly melted and the bread was sturdy. This was big enough for two meals for sure. Next time I will try a cold sub or maybe the Chicken Parm; I’m sure I can’t go wrong with either.
