Hops Burger Bar

Hops has been a Greensboro staple since its induction back in May of 2013. They were recognized as the #1 burger in the country by Trip Advisor in 2015. There are two locations 2419 Spring Garden Street and 2138 Lawndale Drive. I typically go to the Lawndale location due to parking is slightly less slammed. Every week they have a featured special burger, however this week I decided to go with the College Hill Blues with Garlic and Rosemary fries.

Burger and Fries

College Hill Blues Burger

The burger is always cooked to order and I get mine medium. I loved the blue cheese crumbles on there and the caramelized onions were a nice touch. The fries are not the best but when you add a topping to them they are pretty good.

I have always highly recommended Hops but let me give you a few tips if you decide to go. Make sure you go a little early because they do get really busy and have a little patience; good things come to those who wait. The burgers are delicious but if you are not in the mood for a standard burger you can get a bison patty, yellowfin tuna, chicken breast, turkey burger or a house made veggie patty. I’m a big fan of the bison. Also their wings and salads are great!
